FRESH CRANBERRIES! The cranberry stand is right next to Cato's cheese stand on the north end of the market. Many farmers are in their usual spots, but you may have to hunt for the ones who are not normally here on Wednesdays. Quattro and DiPaolo are here with poultry orders and with many non-order birds and other items. Ted Blew of Oak Grove has many tasty pies in addition to pumpkins, great squashes, pork products, and popcorn. Ronnybrook has eggnog, plain and flavored butters, yogurt, ice cream, and various milks. (They will be here on Saturday as well.) Stokes Farm has herb wreaths and cut herbs and Mountain Sweet Berry has delicious tiny potatoes and crosnes. Paffenroth has all sorts of great produce and Berried Treasure is here with tasty potatoes.
Jim of Northshire has beautiful cabbages and other greens and Windfall has many root vegetables and greenhouse greens. Eckerton is here for their last day with assorted hot peppers and some tomatoes. Keith's Farm has a few heads of their French Crisp redleaf lettuce, so get there right away if you want some. They also have excellent shallots and Rocambole garlic.
There are actually more stands here today than I can list now, but take it from me, your Thanksgiving dinner will benefit from a visit to the Greenmarket ASAP! And if you want to take flowers, Flora Perfecta has beautiful lilies and roses, River Garden has lovely dried flower arrangements, and the orchid people have wonderful plants.Beth's Jam has excellent cranberry chutney and cranberry sauce.

Do you know if there will be cranberries on Saturdays?
The cranberry farmer is only here for the Thanksgiving holiday, as far as I know.
