A Good Day to Freeze Tomatoes!

Almost all of the farmers are here today, despite the sticky and soon to be stormy weather. Since I'll be stuck inside, I'm going to prepare tomatoes for the freezer, so I bought beauties from Cheerful Cherry, Oak Grove, Eckerton, Stokes, and Norwich. There are plenty of good looking tomatoes at other stands as well.

If you are planning to buy corn, there are several stands with various types. Sycamore, Cherry Lane, Paffenroth, Miglorelli, and several other stands have alot, but Sycamore will not have their second load today, due to the weather.

Northshire has interesting squash, as do Norwich, Stokes, and Oak Grove. There are several stands with peaches, both white and yellow, including Oak Grove, Terhune, and Locust Grove, who also has various plums. Fantasy Fruit is here with blueberries and strawberries. Beth has tasty jams, jellies, chutneys, and pickled vegetables, some in gift packages.
