Cardoons!

Ted Blew of Oak Grove, Sycamore, Stokes, and Cheerful Cherry, among others, have still got good looking heirloom tomatoes. D'Attolico has an excellent variety of French and Italian style plum tomatoes for sauce. Blew and Eckerton have great selections of hot and sweet peppers. Sycamore, Miglorelli, Blew, and others have corn. Stokes and S&SO have big bunches of cut herbs and Silver Heights has a wide selection of potted herbs.

Several farms including Eckerton, Oak Grove, and D'Attolico, have various squashes, and Cherry Lane has many kinds of eggplant, including tiny fairytale eggplants and Cambodian and Italian varieties. Northshire has several Italian greens and CARDOONS!

Locust Grove, Terhune, Breezy Hill, and other stands have the new Fall crop of apples. Several stands have Tri-star strawberries and Fantasy Fruit has blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries. This is probably FF's last Saturday of the season, so if you freeze blueberries for the winter, now's the time to stock up.
