Lycianthus, Watermelon, Sweet Peas!

It's an absolutely beautiful day and the Friday Greenmarket is colorful and getting bigger! There are new produce stands and some delicious new vegetables. Yuno has a wide array of flavorful peppers and squashes, Norwich has all sorts of squashes, beans, savory greens, and other vegetables. Muddy River has excellent garlic.

I bought a couple of ears of bicolor corn from Sycamore. The ones I bought on Wednesday were very good, so I was encouraged to try them today for breakfast! Eckerton also had delicious corn on Wednesday. Both of them will be here tomorrow.

Samascott has wonderful fresh blueberries and other berries and cherries as well as good looking strawberries. Cheerful Cherry has even more delicious cherries than last week's stunners and Ted Blew (Oak Grove has delicious peaches and big slices of cut red and yellow watermelon.

Newfield Farm has the first LYCIANTHUS and beautiful gladiolas.River Garden has lovely bouquets of wildflowers and the rose people have purple sweet peas.
