Apricots, Black Currants, Fennel!

Got a late start this morning because I was watching the Bastille Day parade on TV5 -- very impressive! I especially enjoyed the Foreign Legion and the guards on horseback. The parachutists at the end were pretty exciting, too.

Summer fruit is finally in full supply. Red Jacket has several kinds of cherries, apricots, and berries. Fantasy Fruit has blueberries, raspberries, and plump black currants. Other stands have berries, apricots, and peaches. Red Jacket also has juices.

I bought beautiful zucchini blossoms and field tomatoes from Yuno. They also have several kinds of hot and sweet peppers, beans, salad greens, and purslane. Norwich has beautiful produce as well, including several kinds of onion, fava beans, lettuces, and good-looking fennel. Maxwell has cut herbs, berries, and beans. Madura's varieties of produce are increasing and there are meat and bread stands as well.

Newfield Farm has beautiful flowers, including lycianthus, gladiolas, lilies, and others. River Garden has lovely wildflowers.
