Red Tailed Hawk!! Mayor of the Greenmarket!

A kind Greenmarket regular pointed out the red-tailed hawk regally observing the market action.  There were many things to check out today -- particularly red and black currants, heirloom tomatoes, corn, squashes, beautiful salad and other greens and stone fruit, including all kinds of plums and peaches.  Golden, red, and black raspberries, Tri-Star and other strawberries, all kinds of kales, and artichokes are available today and the weather is perfect.

Three Corner Field Farm is here with cheeses, yogurts, and lamb. Cato Corner has their tasty cheeses and Valley Shepherd has a variety of interesting cheeses as well.  Quattro's and Violet Hill have wide varieties of poultry and Violet Hill has smoked and fresh pork cuts today.  Quattro's has pheasant and other eggs and VH has duck and chicken eggs.  Norwich also has eggs and chickens.

You'll find beautiful stone fruit at Locust, Caradonna, Terhune, Oak Grove, and others.  Heirloom tomatoes are here at Cherry Lane, Oak Grove, and Eckerton as well as Stokes, where you'll also find heirloom cherry tomatoes, all sorts of cut herbs, squashes, and other produce.  S&SO also has heirloom tomatoes and Paffenroth has many kinds of produce including red celery, puntarella, and many colored beets, carrots, and radishes.  Conuco, Mountain Sweet Berry, and Windfall have beautiful edible zucchini flowers.

To see these and others: Greenmarket Saturday, July 21
