New York Magazine Rates Heirloom Tomatoes!!

To see the article, click on the tomato image at the top of this report. Aunt Rubys and Cherokee Purples are stars, among many others. Oak Grove, Sycamore, Cherry Lane, Eckerton, Bodhitree, Keith, and others have a wide variety of delicious heirloom tomatoes.

I'm a bit late this morning, but actually there's nothing new to report! Everything that was great last Wednesday is still great! This is a super year for peaches, nectarines, and plums, and you can find them today at Locust Grove, Oak Grove, Terhune, Breezy Hill, and other stands. Red Jacket is here with excellent apricots. Honey Hollow and Berried Treasures have elderberries. Fantasy Fruit, Berried Treasures, and Mountain Sweet Berry have Tri-Star strawberries.

S&SO has their bargain boxes of mixed hot peppers as well as many kinds of lettuce and other salad vegetables. Eckerton and Oak Grove also have excellent selections of hot and sweet peppers. Bodhitree has shishito, fushimi, and other peppers, long beans, red and green okra, and several kinds of eggplants. Honey Hollow has chanterelles and other mushrooms and Madura has several kinds of mushroom as well.
