ASPARAGUS and LILACS!! GREEN GARLIC!!

S&SO is back with baby arugula, asparagus, and other reasonably priced vegetables. Cherry Lane is here with spinach, potatoes, and their excellent asparagus. Hoeffner and Gorzynsky have rhubarb. Stokes and D'Attolico have delicious looking sorrel, and Stokes, Binder, and Oak Grove all have lush potted herb plants. Norwich has red mizuna and tatsoi, in addition to spinach and several kales. D'Attolico has young garlic and sprouts and, if you get there early enough, Stokes has some purple asparagus. Several stands have flowering branches, including lilacs, and Durr and Newfield Farm have beautiful tulips. (Newfield Farm's stand is now opposite Ronnybrook and next to Cato Corner's fragrant and tasty cheeses!
