Buzzard Crest is Back!!!

It's the beginning of grape season and Buzzard Crest is here with many varieties and juices, as well as wines.  You can check out their web site at barringtoncellars.com, where you can order in advance to pick up on Saturdays!  Cheerful Cherry also has two excellent grape varieties -- champagne and Canadice.

Great heirloom tomatoes are all over the Greenmarket, including Eckerton, Stokes, Norwich Meadow, Oak Grove, Sycamore, and Cherry Lane.  Sycamore has been bringing in a second load of very fresh picked corn around 11:00 on Saturdays. Norwich has a huge variety of beans and squashes and many stands have peaches, including Locust Grove (also many kinds of plum), Oak Grove, Terhune, and others.

Eckerton's pepper crop is coming in and they and Oak Grove have many varieties. Cheerful Cherry and Lani also have peppers.  Stokes and S&SO have big bunches of cut herbs and Stokes, Lani, and D'Attolico have onions and garlic, as well as greens. Gorzynski has beautiful lettuces and cut herbs and Norwich, Oak Grove,  and Cherry Lane have okra. Norwich and Cherry Lane also have raspberries and Fantasy Fruit has strawberries and blueberries.  Mountain Sweet Berry has strawberries, great tiny potatoes, and interesting greens.
