It's cold and grim, but the market is starting to show signs of Spring!

Lani has young garlic and other new season greens in addition to the winter kales and new edible flowers. Mountain Sweet Berry has ramps and a few stands have spinach. Shushan has tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, and herbs, and Stokes has cut herbs as well as herb and flowering plant flats. Oak Grove has a huge collection of potted herbs and Locust Grove, River Garden, Phillips, and others have flowering branches.

Bulich and D'Attolico are not here today, but Cayuga is here with their delicious breads, grains, and beans. Quattro's has goodlooking pheasants, rabbits, and other delicious poultry and game, and Flying Pig has pork sausages, bacon, and pork cuts. Oak Grove has beef and pork products as well as popping corn and pastries.

Hudson Valley Duck Farm has duck cuts, ducks, rillettes, and duck fat today. Cato Corners Farm has wonderful cheeses and Ronnybrook has many kinds of butter, milk, cream, yogurt, and ice cream.

Several plant nurseries are here with flowering and other plants and Beth's Farm Kitchen has a delicious new ginger apricot sauce. There's plenty to see once you adjust to the drizzle!
