Sycamore will be bringing in a second load of corn tomorrow, picked in the morning. This makes a significant difference in sweetness and freshness. They usually come in around 11 AM.
Muddy River has started their artichoke season. Unfortunately, I was late this morning and missed them, but they'll be here next Friday.
I must admit to being a bit late today, so I might have missed other goodies as well. As it is, I did buy delicious chicken from John Fazio, Oak Grove's first heirloom tomato, Sycamore's outstanding peaches and corn, and Samascott's excellent blueberries. I also bought fava beans from Norwich (one more week for those) and a box of their golden raspberries.
Both Muddy River and Queens County Farm Museum have good looking basil and other herbs. Stokes has stevia, sorrell, and many other generous bunches of herbs. Cayuga is here with their great breads and beans and Hot Bread Kitchen has unusual crackers, breads, and rolls.
Dutchmill, River Garden, and Rose Meadow are all here with lovely flowers.
