Just A Tease!

River Garden has a pile of pussy willow branches today, teasing us with a promise of Spring. We've really got a few weeks to wait, but it's nice to know it is coming! Meanwhile, the brave year-round farmers are here on this sunny (chilly) day, although some of them made it in a little late and were still setting up when I got there.

Terhune, Caradonna, Breezy Hill, and Locust Grove are all here with apples and cider. Miglorelli has apples, cider donuts, and frozen vegetables, as well as jars of tomato puree. Bodhitree has delicious greens, greenhouse tomatoes, kimchee, and root vegetables. Red Jacket is here with ciders and fruit juices and Shushan has hydroponic tomatoes, herbs, and greens. Two Guys From Woodbridge has hydroponic salad and herbs. Windfall has greenhouse greens, root vegetables, and squash puree.

Three Corner Field Farm will be here until the end of March, with yogurts, lamb cuts, and cheeses, and then will return in May. Tamarack has pork cuts and the ostrich meat people are here with various cuts of ostrich. Andrew's Honey and Beth's Farm Kitchen are here and Pura Vida has fresh fish. Hot Bread Kitchen, Cayuga, and Our Daily Bread have delicious breads, and Cayuga has wonderful flours, grains, and beans. (Try Cayuga's tasty ale bread!) For a great fresh scent, try Lavender By The Bay's lavender products.
