Strawberries! Scapes! Sugar snaps! Shelling peas!! Spring garlic! Lovely lettuces!

So glad to have Sycamore back with their excellent strawberries! Rick Bishop of Mountain Sweet Berry has beautiful Tri-stars, and many stands have luscious new varieties, including Locust Grove, Norwich, Stokes, and others.
Cherry Lane has tasty strawberries, greenhouse tomatoes, and asparagus, and Stokes has cut herbs, sweet cherry tomatoes, greens, and asparagus. Hawthorne Valley has a new spot for their stand -- temporarily -- on the East end of the Greenmarket.

I was afraid that the peonies were over, but Hodgson is here with beautiful pink, deep pink, white, and variegated blossoms.

Seatuck had a line waiting for their excellent shellfish, and I was happy to see Ryder next stand down with lovely flowers, greens, and spring garlic. D'Attolico is across the way with delicious salad greens and sprouts, and Bulich is down the road apiece with several good-looking mushroom varieties.

Lani has a wide variety of unique vegetables and S&SO and Paffenroth have gorgeous produce today.  Eckerton has sweet shelling peas and Cherry Lane has sweet and crunchy sugar snap peas. Saute some of Eckerton's scapes with peas and snap peas and serve 'em over angel hair pasta -- that's my plan!
