Heirloom Tomatoes!! Squashes!! Beans!! Plums!! Apples!! Pears!! Grapes!!

I have been enjoying heirloom tomatoes from many farms this summer, and they're still going strong! Eckerton, Keith, Stokes, Oak Grove, Sycamore,Berried Treasures, Bodhitree, and others have wonderful heirlooms. I had a terrific heirloom cherry tomato soup at The Modern Dining Room on Monday, including several different varieties and flavors, selected at the Greenmarket.

Several stands have excellent beans, squashes, and eggplants, and the new crop of squashes, large and small, has come in at Oak Grove's stand. Keith and others have good looking pumpkins and Oak Grove and Madura have mini pumpkins. Bodhitree has long beans and other beautiful beans and Berried Treasures has unique shelling beans, and tiny potatoes. Bodhitree has unusual flavoring peppers and Oak Grove and Eckerton have great hot and sweet peppers.

Fantasy Fruit is here with blueberries and will probably be here on Saturday, but that may be it for the season.
