FIDDLEHEADS! RHUBARB! ASPARAGUS! RAMPS!

Garden of Spices
Garden of Spice has fiddleheads today -- near Lani. Hoeffner has rhubarb and asparagus. Others with asparagus include Cherry Lane, Stokes, S&SO, Miglorelli.
Flounder roe at Seatuck
Mountain Sweet Berry, Violet Hill, Berried Treasures, and others have ramps, and Lani has ramp leaves (along with fresh peanuts and a wide range of interesting dried beans and greens).
Young onions and garlic, leeks at Norwich Meadows
There are many stands with young garlic and new leeks.  Several stands including Eckerton and Stokes have gorgeous lettuces and other greens.
Tulips at Berried Treasures
I saw several chefs and restaurant foragers for the first time today. Spring is finally here, no matter how cold it seems to be.  You'll find tulips in a number of stands, including I Fiori de Fenici, Durr, and Berried Treasures.  There are also
other beautiful flowers at Rose Meadow and Phillips.

ASPARAGUS and RAMPS! Flowering and herb sets for gardeners! Lush lettuces at Eckerton!

Herb plants at Stokes
I scored some excellent asparagus at Stokes and Cherry Lane, and saw more at Hoeffner, S&SO, Madura, and other stands. Stokes also had beautiful hanging plants, herb and vegetable sets, and flowering plant sets.
Lettuce at Eckerton
Oak Grove has great herb plants and they and Stokes have healthy looking tomato plants.

S&SO has cut herbs and Eckerton has French breakfast radishes.  Miglorelli has two kinds of radish, several kinds of green, and asparagus.
Berried Treasures and Mountain Sweet Berry have RAMPS, as do a few other stands, and Berried Treasures has various greens and interesting tulips (some attached to their bulbs).

Stokes has ASPARAGUS!!!

Hoeffner, Miglorelli, and others also have asparagus. Spring is here! Of course, it's damp out there, but it was worth it to me to have the first beautiful green spears.  Cherry Lane will probably have some next weekend.

Several stands including Stokes, Van Houten, Binder, and others, have lovely herb and flowering potted plants and sets for home gardeners. Oak Grove has TOMATO PLANTS and small mixed herb gardens in pots.

Seatuck had live crabs, other shellfish, and fresh fish when I went by and PE&DD had lobsters in addition to fresh fish and other shellfish.

There are lots of ramps at Mountain Sweet Berry this morning -- unless the restaurants have gotten there after I left.

Other than that the news is that Oak Grove has TOMATO PLANTS! There are several stands with flowering and herb sets.

Bodhitree had many kinds of greens when I went by an hour ago and there's a new stand next door to Stokes Farm with interesting cut herbs and tiny french breakfast radishes.  Stokes has gorgeous flowering and herb plants and beautiful hanging flowering plants.

Beautiful flowers, cut herbs, ramps, fresh fish, salad and other greens, pheasant eggs!

James Durr
On a very cold day in "Spring" there are still signs of the season in the Greenmarket. Quattro's has pheasant eggs! Mountain Sweet Berry has ramps!
I Fiori has unique and lovely tulips and hyacinths and Rose Meadow has many colorful anemones and other flowers. James Durr has extraordinary flowering fruit tree branches and forsythia and other stands have tulips and branches as well.
Stokes Farm
Quattro's has a good supply of soup bones as well as pheasant, turkey, and duck eggs, along with excellent chickens, pheasants, and other poultry.  Violet Hill has rabbits, Belle Rouge chickens and chicken parts, quail eggs, and several colorful chicken egg varieties, along with pork cuts and sausages. Stokes
Other than that, we're still waiting for our favorite Spring vegetables, although I did see some delicious looking greens at Bodhitree. (Of course, I was a bit late today, so missed a lot at their stand.
Bodhitree
The only news I have is good for Saturday shoppers -- Seatuck will be here, next to Quattro's, with their tasty fresh fish and seafood, this coming Saturday.
Las Delicias
Otherwise, things are pretty much as they were last Wednesday.
