They've been in other Greenmarkets uptown, but Sun Fed Beef has made their first appearance in the Friday Union Square market today. The winter schedule seems pretty set, with the stands here today planning to be here all winter Fridays. Cayuga is not here today. John Fazio is here with delicious chickens, rabbits, ducks, duck and chicken eggs and livers, and a new product, rabbit sausage.
Rogowski has parsnips today, so if you liked New York Magazine's recipe this past week, you've got a source. They also have other root vegetables, salads, broccoli, and greens. Two Guys is here with hydroponic lettuces, greens, herbs, and at least one beautiful squash blossom. Madura has mushrooms and D&J has root vegetables, greens, and kimchi. Divine Brine has many kinds of pickle and Samascott has root vegetables, apples, pears, ciders, and many kinds of potato. Mountain Sweet Berry has tiny potatoes and potato chips. Beth's Farm Kitchen has jams, chutneys, and pickled vegetables.
