It's definitely apple and pear season, with Samascott, Locust Grove, and others bringing in many tasty varieties. There is also fresh apple cider and Red Jacket has all sorts of fruit flavored ciders and juices. Beth's Farm Kitchen has luscious jams and jellies, and Deep Mountain has maple products, including maple marshmellows. Madura has great looking produce and many interesting mushroom varieties.
Muddy River has fennel, cipollini, and other vegetables and Norwich has a wide choice of beans, greens, squashes, eggplants, and tomatoes. Sycamore has corn, tomatoes, heirloom tomatoes, and cauliflower. Cayuga is here with many dried beans, delicious whole wheat and ale breads, and Berried Treasures has beans, red and yellow raspberries, cherry tomatoes, and various tiny potatoes. Pura Vida has wonderful fresh fish. John Fazio has poultry and rabbit and Dancing Ewe is here with their fabulous cheeses (ask them about their CSA and gift boxes).
