Berried Treasures, Stokes, Eckerton, Sycamore, Keith, and others have good looking heirloom tomatoes, but signs are increasing of their imminent departure. I'm planning to enjoy them as much as I can before they go. This is the last day for Oak Grove's peaches, but they too have good looking heirloom tomatoes.

Norwich has shelled shelling beans, beautiful peppers, fresh ginger, heirloom tomatoes, melons, greens, and brussels sprouts.

Hoeffner also has brussels sprouts, tomatoes, melons, peppers, sweet corn, and plants. Caradonna and Locust Grove have plenty of stone fruit, berries, and grapes. Buzzard Krest is here with several kinds of grapes and grape juices and Red Jacket has many kinds of fruit flavored apple juices.

Sycamore, Hoeffner, Paffenroth, and Miglorelli have tasty corn. Mountain Sweet Berry and Cherry Lane have great sauce tomatoes. Mountain Sweet Berry has Tri-Star strawberries and shelled shelling beans.

Ryder has summer and winter squashes and watermelons and Van Houten has watermelons, musk melons, peppers, corn, and other vegetables.

The recessional has quietly arrived at the Greenmarket with this being the last weekend for Toigo's peaches and the soon to be last raspberries at Norwich Meadows Farm.

The Fall season has arrived with gorgeous hot and sweet peppers at Oak Grove, Samascott, Campo Rosso, and other stands.

If you are intending to prepare heirloom and other tomatoes for the freezer or canning, this is an excellent weekend for it, with gorgeous tomatoes at Berried Treasures, Toigo, Norwich, Miglorelli, and others. Berried Treasures has many kinds of shelled beans today and will be here tomorrow as well.

Norwich has brussels sprouts on the stem and beautiful fresh local ginger.

Lucky Dog has fennel, beautiful carrots, and greens. Oak Grove, Miglorelli, Van Houten, and many others have good looking summer and winter squashes, and there are huge seedless watermelons at Mischick.  Bodhitree has taken the month off.

Seatuck has crokers, porgies, shiners, blue crabs, and blowfish! PE&DD has cooked lobsters, fish salads, scallops, and several kinds of fresh fish!

Tomato season is starting to show signs of fading, but there are still plenty of good ones to be had at Norwich Meadow, Stokes, Eckerton, Keith, Oak Grove, Berried Treasures, Mountain Sweet Berry, and many others. Hot peppers are moving into high gear, with big selections at Eckerton, Oak Grove, Stokes, S&SO, Norwich, and several others.  Berried Treasures is back on Saturdays!!!

As beautiful grapes arrive at Buzzard Krest, Locust Grove, Fantasy Fruit, and others, and plums come into their own, peaches are about to fade. You can still find good ones at Caradonna, Oak Grove, Locust Grove, and a couple of others.  Fantasy Fruit has blueberries and Phillips has blackberries and raspberries. Sycamore has big slurpy peaches and heirloom tomatoes.

If you make pesto for the freezer or freeze tomatoes for the winter, now's the time to do it. Mountain Sweet Berry, Berried Treasures, Eckerton, Keith, and Cherry Lane have excellent sauce tomatoes.  Several stands have basil.

Buzzard Krest grapes and grape juices are back! It's a great tomato and peach day, but the season is changing, so seize the day!

STOKES SWEET PEPPERS
Oak Grove, Locust Grove, and others have delicious white and yellow peaches. In addition to those, Caradonna and others have nectarines and many kinds of plum.  Pears and apples are coming into the mix, so enjoy the stone fruit while you may! Locust Grove and others have grapes, including Fantasy Fruit's champagne variety.

Norwich Meadows Farm, Stokes, Oak Grove, Eckerton,Keith, Cherry Lane,  and others have great heirloom and other tomatoes. Oak Grove and Eckerton have fantastic varieties of hot and sweet pepper and S&SO has generous boxes of mixed hot peppers.

Many stands have many varieties of eggplant, including Lani, S&SO, Miglorelli, D'Attolico, and others.  Norwich Meadow and Lani have shelling beans and other beans and Van Houten, Oak Grove, S&SO and others have several kinds of melon, including watermelon and NY State canteloupe.

Paffenroth and Stokes have unique greens and herbs and most of the stands I've mentioned here have a wide variety of squashes and eggplants.  I saw a couple of winter squash varieties this morning, a propos of the sneaking in of the Fall.

Toigo has peaches and nectarines in addition to several kinds of plum and tomato. Phillips has berries and Samascott has berries, peaches, and vegetables as well as apples.

Norwich Farm has strawberries, raspberries, all sizes of tomato (including gorgeous plum varieties and heirlooms as well as cherry tomatoes), shelling beans, two kinds of locally grown ginger, sweet and hot peppers, and melons.
Oak Grove peppers
Van Houten has lima beans, various melons, sweet peppers, and corn.  Red Jacket has greengage plums.  Oak Grove has white and yellow peaches, corn, heirloom tomatoes, melons, many kinds of pepper(hot and sweet) and eggplant, various flours and popping corn.

Silver Heights is here with a wide variety of plants for city gardening, including greens, vegetables, herbs, and other unique sets. Next Wednesday will be their last day in the Greenmarket ever, as the farmers are retiring!

Everything is tempting in the market today, with colorful displays all around the park.  Along with the sad headline of our soon to be retired Silver Heights is the good news that Buzzard Krest will be back in the Greenmarket with luscious grapes and grape juices (maybe this coming Saturday!!!).

Stokes Farm, Eckerton, Oak Grove, Berried Treasures, and others have glorious collections of heirloom tomatoes in many sizes.  Eckerton and Oak Grove have many small and large hot and sweet peppers and several other farms have smaller collections of delicious varieties.

Bulich has beautiful portabello and other fresh mushrooms and Madura has several kinds as well.  Paffenroth has several unique vegetables, including puntarella, purslane, various mustard greens and kales, carrots, herbs, unusual shallots, daikon, and much, much more.

Bodhitree, Van Houten, Oak Grove, Kernan, and others have good looking melons, and Oak Grove, Caradonna, Terhune, and others have yellow and white peaches and plums.  Grapes are here at Fantasy Fruit, Locust Grove, and Caradonna, signalling Fall, despite the 90 degree weather!
